Get Over It -- The Obstacle I Mean -- Life Lesson #4
Happy St Patrick's Day (cold and wet though it may be)
Still here at N Myrtle Beach enjoying the liquid sunshine. Going to have drips and drops all day it seems. Just a minor obstacle to overcome I guess.
Plan of ATtack for today:
1. Finish new blog site at: http://masterbusinessservic.ipage.com/ToBlogOrNotToBlog/
2. Go check my condo workout room -- jog 3 miles on treadmill.
3. Continue 02geek HTML lesson -- I am already profiting from these lessons by making minor modifications in some page code.
Update:
Mission accomplished -- Everything done today!
Just posted my first post on http://masterbusinessservic.ipage.com/ToBlogOrNotToBlog/
This post gives some details on how to set up a WrodPress blog. Starting 3/16/14, my blog posts will appear at my new site.

I've Giving It Away...
Not the whole condo, just my week. It's a fixed week, that happens to include St Patrick's Day this year. What's the catch? None! All you have to do is pay the legal fees to take over this week. After that, there's a yearly maintenance fee of $500.
I have used and traded this week for years now. It's a red week and can be used with RCI or Interval International.
My unit is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a view of the ocean -- I'm looking at the ocean right now, in fact.
Early in the week I'll find out what the legal fees are to transfer my week and post the info here.
If you're interested in taking over my week, send me a e-mail at jep@masterbusinessservices.com.
I'm in the process of shifting this blog over to a WordPress site -- having some trouble getting the posts to look good in Blogger. The new url is: http://masterbusinessservic.ipage.com/ToBlogOrNotToBlog/
Hope to have the new site up before the end of the week.
I've made a good bit of progress on my new blog site. I installed WordPress and added a new theme. After that I downloaded and installed a bunch of plugins which I'm in the process of configuring. Next I'll move on update various WordPress default settings. Plan to begin blogging on new site later today or tomorrow.
Cheers!

Start -- Travel -- Arrival
Writer's Holiday is here! Started my trip from Bluff City TN to N. Myrtle Beach around 6:00 am. The temperature when I started in Tennessee was the low 50's. As I traveled through the NC mountains, the temp dropped to the low 40's. After coming down the mountain on I-26 into SC, it got warmer very quickly.
I love SC gas prices!

Some good eating in Columbia
WONDERFUL Menu!
Home Sweet Home
Checking in was quick and easy -- got into the condo early too.
After unloading and unpacking, I went for a 2 mile jog. Temp was around 70 degrees and sunshine.
PAT:
1. I need to visit forums since I didn't yesterday.
2. Want to look in on my 02geek HTML lesson also.
Update:
Did not get to 02geek for HTML lesson -- a priority for Sunday. Cheers all!

It's almost time -- can't wait!
Writer's Holiday starts Saturday -- come along with me...As I travel to sunny, (I hope), N Myrtle Beach SC I plan to keep the old iPhone handy and take photos along the way. I'll be sharing the trip with you so keep watching.
What does Uncle Ben want to share with us today?
"Jumping to conclusions is not half as good exercise as digging for the facts."
"The best way to get rid of unpleasant duties is to discharge them faithfully."
Some good thoughts there Uncle Ben -- thanks!
PAT for Today:
1. Finish eBook section on "list swapping." As I searched the net for info on this I found very little. Yet some guru's state this is the FASTEST way to build a list.
2. Work on HTML lesson with 0togeek, (the FUN way to learn).
3. Jog outside if it warms up enough -- temp now 24 degrees.
4. Post on forums.
5. JOB
PS -- If you didn't download Newbies Next Chapter yet, a great 82 page eBook, you can find the link at my Master Business Services website.
Update -- didn't do too well -- did not get to 2-4. Did finish getting ready for my "Writers Holiday".

Writer's Holiday Coming Up Saturday -- N Myrtle Beach Here I Come

Thought I'd start the day on a serious note...
Making preparation for the long journey from NE Tennessee to SC scheduled for this Saturday. The car checked out fine yesterday and I have 7 days off from JOB.
Plan of ATtack For Today:
1. Continue trip preparations.
2. Visit forums and comment.
3. Start research on the next section of my new eBook, "Website Traffic As Easy As 1 - 2 - 3?" This section deals with getting website traffic using list swaps. The only problem with this method is you have to have a good sized list to use it.
4. Gym, jog, and JOB.
Mission Accomplished! Got everything done -- Am I good or what?

Life's Lessons #3

PAT for Today:
1. Continue with next 0togeek HTML lesson.
2. Visit forums and post.
3. Begin preparing for my "Writer's Holiday" starting Saturday at N Myrtle Beach SC.
Mission accomplished -- I got everything done and more! I did more work on my Weebly site which has links to the sites I use the most. Also worked a little on my eBook database in Open Office.
Cheers!

Are You Ready to Change Your Life For the Better?
The 82 page eBook begins like this:
"Fairy-tales can come true...if you just believe...
Ok I know I know, you're probably rolling your eyes to the back of your head right now, thinking what a load of CRAP!
That's ok.
You see I am a bit of a dreamer, always have been, always will be.
I always see the good in people... My mum is my best friend... I cry at movies... I spend hours laughing at silly videos on you tube... I believe I have a soul mate out there and chase that elusive love that has you filled with butterflies every time you see that one special person...
And yes, I believe that fairy tales can come true.
And I guess that's why I was the ideal candidate to fall for the “make money online” type business – I dared to dream. And boy I fell for that dream... HOOK. LINE. AND SINKER!
But you wanna know something – it's a dream than can be achieved – but – it didn't happen overnight.
And I want to show you that with a simple blog, a couple of free reports and a few squeeze pages you can EASILY make money online – simple stuff."
I want to give you this exciting eBook at NO COST!
Just send me an e-mail at: newbiesnextchapter@gmail.com
In the subject line type: newbies
I'll send you the download link. How cool is that!
Please enjoy the eBook -- I hope it helps you to a better lifestyle in 2014.

Life's Lessons #2 I need a pick-up!
Here we are again at the start of a wonderful new week. I hope you have something to look forward to, I know I do. I'm taking a "Writer's Holiday" at N. Myrtle Beach SC starting Saturday for a week! I have a nice 2 bedroom timeshare all to myself, and no JOB to go to.
Plan of ATtack for today:
1. Work on "Signature" section of my new eBook.
2. Go out for a jog -- high today to be 65 degrees with Mr Sun a-shining.
3. Start new HTML lesson.
4. Do forum posts.
Update:
I finished 2 sections on my eBook -- the "e-mail signature" section and the "article marketing" section. This eBook project is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Well, such is life.
Went for a mile jog and visited with the folks across the street for a while. Did some forum posting as well, but no HTML lesson.
I began a Open Office database project where I'm listing the topics and titles of all the eBooks I have downloaded over the last couple of years. I think there are 100's of them. As I list them, I also take a quick look at the content. Some material is a little dated, but I'm finding some "good stuff" as I make my way through the pile.
Later guys...

Cats Are Nice to Look at, But Owning One is Another Story...

Did you miss that hour of sleep as we switched back to DST? I did!
My Plan of ATtack for today is mostly to sweat through 9 hours or so at JOB.
We recently had a schedule change and I went from working 4 to 5 hours on Sunday to working 9+. I don't really like the change, but will try to survive for now.
Update for Sunday -- I made it through another 9.5 hour work day! It wasn't as bad as I thought...
After work I did some research on my eBook section entitled, "Don't Forget Your Signature." This website traffic method is easy use implement and involves adding a signature section to every e-mail you send out.
Next I went over to the forums I joined and did a few posts. I responded to a couple of "Welcomes" I'd received as well.
That's about it -- cheers ya'll.

Don't Know About You, But...
I need a good word or two from Uncle Ben today! He says,
Today I feel like Flash looks in this picture!
My Plan of ATtack for today:
1. Get rid of this head cold!!! (I hope)
2. Go to JOB for 5 hours this am/pm -- 4 hours yesterday almost made my head EXPLODE.
3. Get a good nap this afternoon after work.
4. Finish "newsletters" section of my new eBook.
5. Make a few forum posts.
Update:
Feeling a little better -- yea! I was able to complete "newsletters" section of eBook and spent 5 hours at JOB. Napped a little also, but did not do forums.
Do what you can, being what you are,
Shine like a glow worm, if you can't be a star.
Work like a pulley, if you can't be a crane,
Be a wheel-greaser, if you can't drive the train.

Life Lessons #1 (Something to think about)
My PAT for today...
1. Contact AWeber about a yearly plan -- must have a reliable autoresponder for my list(s).
2. Continue working on my new website traffic eBook -- today I look at "newsletters" as a traffic source.
3. Work on HTML lesson.
4. JOB and gym (feeling better but not 100% yet)
5.Revisit forums I joined yesterday and post.
Update...
Partial success today -- Got AWeber taken care of and am working on "newsletters" section of my eBook. Also dropped by the forums for a quick visit and did some posts.
No HTML lesson or gym -- head cold still hanging on. Did make it through 4 hours at p/t JOB.
Cheers!

Ever been at a loss for words?
Looking at this little guy makes me feel that way.
Let's see what Uncle Ben has in store for us today:
"The chains of habit are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken."
Plan of ATtack for today:
1. JOB (I hope--still feeling a little sick)
2. Continue working on new eBook about website traffic.
3. Put into practice what I'm writing about -- the first website traffic step I cover is to visit forums. So I googled a list of several website design forums and plan to visit a couple today.
4. Signed up with 2 forums and began posting. Looking forward to adding people to my list and/or having them purchase a product from one of my website. I understand this takes a while to see results.

Thought For the Day...
I hope none of you are related to these two individuals!
Recap from yesterday:
I worked a little on the HTML course that I'm taking -- I'm able to use a little of what I've learned but need more training and practice.
I uploaded my website eBook to 9 different eBook sites. Some sites are easy to upload to and others not so.
PAT for today:
1. Continue uploading my eBook to other eBook download sites on my list.
2. Work on HTML lessons.
3. Review Fanpage training and try to implement.
4.Start working on new eBook
Been a little "under the weather" the last couple of days so have not been to JOB. I think I'm about over IT and am looking forward to more normal days.
I uploaded my eBook to as many sites as I could do easily. Also worked on my HTML lessons -- the instructor did a good review over what we've covered thus far. I went over my Fanpage training a little but did not go to Facebook at all.
I began another eBook which I'm calling, "Website Traffic As Easy As 1 - 2 - 3?" The eBook will explore various techniques of increasing visitors to my various websites. I'm looking forward to trying out these techniques starting as soon as tomorrow.
Cheers all!

WOW -- Was this fun or what? I added 2 tabs to my Fanpage
I just learned how to do this yesterday -- it's really cool!
As you may or may not know, Facebook Fan pages are the business side of Facebook. Unlike your Personal Profile, you can have unlimited FB Fan pages. Facebook Fan pages come with two tabs by default, "photos" and "likes." To add additional tabs, use can use a third party application such as "Short Stack." (This ap has a FREE and a paid version.) Click here to sign up.
After you sign up for free, you'll be presented with the following screen:

You can either "Create App From Template" (easier) or "Create Blank Ap." Let's say I want to create an app for visitors to sign up for a free newsletter. Here are the steps:
1. Check to see if there is a ready made template for newsletter signups by clicking "Create App from Template."
2. I find a template called "Newsletter Signup 2.0" and select it. I'm presented with a preview screen and instructions on Newsletter Signup 2.0. I click on "Make App" at top right hand corner of page.
3. I am taken to the "Designer" screen. This screen allows me modify and customize the template. I copy the instructions onto Notepad and delete them by clicking the X on the Instructions Widget. Here's a screenshot of what I see next:

4. Since I won't be using Testimonials or Links, I delete them by clicking the X.
5. Since I've designed a "header" image, I click the pencil icon in the Header Image Widget to upload it. If you don't have a header image, you can delete it by clicking X.
6. I move down to the Main Message Widget and edit as necessary -- it looks good so I move down to the Newsletter Sign Up Widget.
7. I will send my signup to my MailChimp account so I delete the current Newsletter Sign Up Widget and drag over the MailChimp Widget. (You may integrate this form with your Email Provider such as Constant Contact, High Rise or MailChimp.) If you use other e-mail providers such as AWeber, you'll need to upgrade -- sorry!
8. My Newsletter Sign Up Form is now complete and I click the "Install App" button at the top left of the screen. I have to log in with Facebook, and choose "Quick Publish."
9. Next I tell ShortStack the Fanpage to install to and magically the new tab appears.
10. Now I go to my Facebook Fanpage, edit the tab name and image, save the settings and I'm done. Here's my Fanpage with my 2 new tabs, "Free eBook" and "Website Newsletter" added:

I need to work on the eBook tab image, but still not too bad for a first attempt! Cheers all!
